Great restaurant with oriental cuisine - highly recommended, but you have to reserve! Nice staff who also make recommendations. Just great.

The Al-Dar offers a great selection of oriental food. The ambience is cozy and nice. It invites you to linger longer. The waitresses are attentive and we always like to come back there. We celebrated our wedding there years ago and for such events we can really recommend the Al-Dar !!! Price-performance ratio is very good.

I was in the "beer garden" at "prime time" and it was wonderful. Based on the number of guests, the service was good and attentive and the cuisine was wonderful. I'm looking forward to the next time to try more of this great menu ... you should like lamb ... but everyone likes it the way it is prepared here.

I always like to visit this restaurant. The service is always very attentive and the prices are extremely affordable. The restaurant is on two levels. So don't be put off if the lower level on the ground floor looks full. There is also the first floor there. You sit great and, above all, very calmly. The food is delicious.

One of the most popular restaurants in Hanover and it's not for nothing. The Syrian restaurant offers a very diverse and colorful cuisine. The dishes are great for sharing. There is a beautifully designed and inviting outdoor area in the back yard. The staff is very friendly. Make a reservation as it is always very well attended.

I already know Al-Dar from Bremen and was equally impressed in Hanover. The restaurant is within walking distance of the main train station in an older building with a small backyard. Inside, it extends over two floors. The ambience is oriental without being overbearing. The menu is extensive and comes online via a QR code on the mobile phone. The cuisine is Lebanese-Syrian and very delicious and light. You either put together the menu yourself or choose from "discovery menus". The main courses focus on lamb. However, there is also chicken, fish and extensive vegetarian options. Very, very extensive selection of great Lebanese wines. That alone is worth the visit. Prices are a bit high but more than adequate for the cuisine on offer. Reservation at prime time is highly recommended. Service very friendly and quick. Payment in cash, by (credit) card or smartphone (Google / Apple Pay). Definitely worth a visit ... or two ...

Always worth a visit! Best, friendly and courteous service. All the dishes we've had so far have always been brilliant and the lamb, if you like it, is pink-tender to the touch. We would love to come back!

Nice food! Good service

The food is excellent, it really reminds you of the outstanding Lebanese cuisine ... :-) Sitting outside in summer also has a very special flair. Sometimes one or the other waitress could be friendlier ;-). But there are also a few regular waiters who have never lost their friendliness, no matter how stressful it is. Gladly again. :-)

Me and my husband were there for the first time today. We have been to a number of Arabic restaurants. The ambience and the staff is nice and friendly. The range of dishes is also very diverse. However, I have to say that you get more for your money elsewhere. Small portions, but high price. And especially in taste, it did not differ from other restaurants that offer similar cuisine. My conclusion: If you like to pay too much in order not to be full afterwards, this is good advice. Food itself is tasty but you can get it cheaper and, above all, more in other restaurants.

Bit disappointing, after reading the good reviews here in good spirits and a good appetite reserved a table. We went for the 'Travel through Syria' menu. Unfortunately it was not the best trip and shorter than we thought. The advantage of this menu should be that you can taste Syrian cuisine. You do get an extensive starter if you go for this menu. The starter is off to a good start and we were very curious about the rest. The main course, on the other hand, was very disappointing not to write about the dessert. Too bad, but can really not give stars for it despite the friendly service.

Incredibly good food, nice atmosphere and super nice& helpful staff. For a group of 8 we paid ~ 280€ (incl. Appatisers, mains, deserts & drinks) which was a fair price for the quality and quantity of food.

The restaurant is very high ranked by all people. I can say it's really busy and hard to get even one seat without reservation. Regarding food, it's not extra ordinary. I had mix grill which was good enough and sambosik which was really bad. Price is not cheap

Our favourite syrian restaurant in Germany. Entrance is along the small gate / walkway to the right of the restaurant. You arrive into a magical garden with beautiful cushions and umbrellas and decor. You can eat outside or enter the restaurant building up the stairs to the left. There is a reception with free mints on the right. The toilets are upstairs to the left left. The decor and the food is very picturesque and staff is international with english menues available. Verh luxurious and high quality place without the formal stiffness. Everyone is incredibly charming and friendly. We go here whenever we are in Hannover. Best to make a reservation as this place is very high in demand. Hope this helps. #ingavardhan

We were two couples that had Mazza II. The waitress was quick and friendly. The dishes were really tasteful, all of them. The atmosphere were cosy and familiar and the price-level was ok. We highly recommend this restaurant!

The best middle eastern restaurant I have ever been to. Food is very tasty, prepared with fresh and quality ingredients. Additionally the place is extremely clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is nice and the food is very testy but the problem Is that the waiter should learn more etiquette ، When the talk the don't keep personal space And they moved there hands(when they talked and during delevering the food) very close to the head and body of the most important person in our group But again the restaurant in nice and if they correct these things it would be really great

Great syrian food. A bit pricy but worth it! Has a small room for smoking shisha with coffee or tea. Definitely my favourite place for date nights.

Very good food but high price

I was on a business trip for two days in Hanover, and had my dinner at this restaurant twice. The food is very delicious, and the service is also very good ("Amin" was very nice to us) I gave 4 stars becuase of one guy who served our table, I guess he was from Tunisia "he was rude". He asked us, very rudly, to order quickly becuause they are closing the kitchen (and then I asked to replace him with someone else). The second reason, is the hight price.

Lovely Syrian food in a great setting. A lovely outdoor patio and indoors wild decoration. Very friendly people. See what Syria hopefully one day will be like.
